Terms of use

By using Bank Statement PDF to Excel, you accept the following terms. They are written plainly, but they matter.
The service
The service turns a PDF bank statement into a spreadsheet (Excel and CSV). It does nothing else.
The file it produces is not a bank document. It carries the line "This is not a bank document".
Permitted use
Only upload statements you have the right to process: your own, or a client's who has authorized you.
You may not use the service to commit fraud, to create or alter a bank document, or to present the output as an official document.
The service cannot change amounts and never produces a PDF or a statement. We may refuse service in case of abuse and cooperate with the authorities on lawful request.
Price and payment
Converting and the preview are free. Downloading the full file is paid. The exact price is shown before any payment, in Canadian dollars, plus applicable taxes.
It is a one-time charge per file. There is no subscription and no recurring charge.
Payment is handled by Stripe. We never see your card number.
Balance check
Every file is checked: opening balance, plus deposits, minus withdrawals, must equal the closing balance. If the result does not match or cannot be checked, the preview tells you before any payment, with the gap, and the lines to check are marked in the file when the service can find them. The price stays the same, and the refund policy applies.
A file the service cannot read at all is refused, with a message that says what to try. There is then no payment and no file.
Refunds
We refund on request within 30 days. Details are in the refund policy.
Accuracy and liability
We check every file against the balance, but a reading error is still possible. Compare the file with your statement before using it for a tax return, bookkeeping or a decision.
To the extent the law allows, our liability is limited to the amount paid for the file concerned. Nothing in these terms limits the rights the law gives you as a consumer.
Availability
We do our best to keep the service running at all times, but cannot guarantee it.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Quebec and the federal laws of Canada that apply there. The French version prevails.
